Tile Center opened its doors in 1961 and now in 2011, we’re celebrating 50 years!
Our family owned and operated business puts customer service at the top of its list, hoping year after year, the customer will put us first in return. Tile Center credits its success to the support of customers, community support, and the staff members it employs. We are proud to be known in the CSRA as “Your Tile and Stone Experts!”

Extreme Kitchen Contest: Construction Underway

Going to the EXTREME for a Kitchen Makeover

Loren and Renee Barnhart spent weeks uploading videos and asking for your votes so that they would be selected for the Ferguson Extreme Kitchen Contest. With more than 200 kitchens entered, they believed they could win! Visitors that saw the video then voted at the site: http://www.extremekitchencontest.com. Now, the renovation is underway!

You can watch this kitchen be transformed. Be sure and visit the website and watch the timeclock at the top right. It will count down to the big reveal which will air on WJBF-TV! With more than 4,000 votes, the Barnhart’s know that they, and quite a crowd, are anticipating the results! Tile Center is proud to be a sponsor of this contest with quality products donated from our manufacturers. Tile Center Holds 3rd Annual CEU Day

Architects and Designers listen to presentation by AquaMix

Tile Center is committed to educating every person it can on tile, natural stone, and the materials you need for your installation. That’s why our Continuing Education day is so important. We reach out to our local architects and designers and work with them throughout the year. For the 3rd year, we held our CEU Day. Our turnout was great again this year!

Four of our manufacturers participate in this day and bring educational courses to the people in our community. When it’s all said and done, the instructors leave with a better understanding of our market. The participants leave with a better understanding of the industry and the latest products. A big thank you to everyone for their participation: Laticrete, AquaMix, Schluter, and Crossville. We’re already planning next year!

At Tile Center, we feel confident in the products we sell. Our staff is constantly in contact with our vendor representatives… working to get information and samples of the latest products in tile and stone. In August in Augusta, we put down several new floors. Our clients tell us they like to see various samples and pictures of installations to help them make final decisions. We can’t install every product, but we can show you a large variety to make you more comfortable with your design. Tile Center continues with training opportunities

We are in an industry where installers can’t just leave an installation midway through. That’s why Laticrete brought their Product Through Knowledge opportunity to Augusta. The manufacturer offers installers and contractors, several times a year, the chance to visit their plant in Hamlet, NC and train on almost every product they offer. It’s a 2 day commitment, but in August, Laticrete representatives came to us. They set up shop in Martinez for a “Mini PTK” and Tile Center hosted the seminar. From self-leveling material to grout, tile pros gained valuable information that they can now use in homes in the CSRA.
